Bled Castle

The castle is built on top of 139 m steep cliff and has spectacular overlooking on the lake Bled. The castle is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Slovenia.
Bled Castel was mentioned for the first time in 1004 when German emperor Henry II gave it to bishop Albuin. This makes the castle one of the oldest in Slovenia. The castle buildings are grouped around two courtyards. On Bled Castel you may find museum, shop, restaurant, printing works, wine cellar, gallery, Castle forge, knights' hall, chapel, a well and many other castle attractions.
Numerous weddings, protocol as well as theatre and medieval day are held at Bled Castel all year around. Experience a 'view to die for', amazing cuisine, long history and Slovene tradition at one amazing place - spectacular Bled Castle.
Bled Castel can be reached by foot, car or bus. There is a free parking space available for all castle visitors.
