We'll start at the iconic Lake Bled, where you'll have the chance to sail in a traditional pletna boat to the small island, visit the baroque church, and ring the wishing bell. You can taste the delicious potica, a typical Slovenian cake, while you contemplate the medieval castle of Bled, suspended on a cliff. I'll tell you the legend of the sunken bell and the story of the bishops of Brixen, as well as the visionary ideas of Dr. Rikli, a pioneer of health tourism. Then we'll head to Lake Bohinj, wilder and more serene, surrounded by the majestic Julian Alps, where the Church of St. John the Baptist is located.
