Description
The Lipica Stud Farm, one of the oldest in the world, is the birthplace of the Lipizzan horse. Set within natural meadows beneath oak and chestnut trees, the farm hosts beautiful white horses. Visitors can explore the stables and visit the Lipikum Museum, which showcases the history and characteristics of the Lipizzan breed.
The Škocjan Caves feature an extensive cave system with an underground river, representing a key natural phenomenon of the Karst region. Recognized as a UNESCO natural and cultural heritage site since 1986, the caves contain giant stalactites, rapids, and lakes. Visitors can walk across a bridge 40 meters above the underground river to view the vast canyon and exit with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
The tour concludes in the Škocjan Caves Regional Park, an open-air museum known for its ethnological, geological, karstological, and archaeological sites, as well as its preserved natural and cultural heritage. The park offers peaceful walking paths amid untouched nature.
