Description
The tour begins with a drive from Bled through the Zgornjesavska dolina valley to Kranjska Gora. You will stop briefly at Lake Jasna for a nature view. The route continues with a winding ascent to Vršič, Slovenia’s highest mountain pass.
At Vršič, stretch your legs with a short hike to a nearby peak offering expansive views. Then descend into the Trenta valley, known for its historical heritage and pristine environment. A brief walk leads to the source of the emerald Soča river, where you can refill your bottle with fresh spring water.
Next, arrive in Bovec, where you can join a rafting trip or take a quiet lunch break. Afterward, a car train will transport you to the Bohinj valley, home to Lake Bohinj, an old stone bridge, and a historic church. Following a stroll around the area, return to Bled by car. The entire excursion lasts approximately 12 hours.
