Description
Predjama Castle, also known as Predjamski Grad, is a medieval fortress built into the mouth of a large cave on a cliff in the Slovenian countryside. Originating from a 13th-century fortress, the current castle mainly reflects 16th-century Renaissance and Gothic renovations. The castle’s history includes tales of knights, sieges, and hidden passages.
Visitors can explore ancient corridors and experience the castle's medieval atmosphere.
Postojna Cave features an extensive underground world of geological formations, chambers, and tunnels. Visitors begin the tour with a ride on a small electric train designed for the cave’s narrow passages.
Audio guides or live commentary in multiple languages provide informative details on the cave’s geology, history, and unique ecosystem. After the train ride, guests can continue exploring parts of the cave on foot at a leisurely pace.
