Description
Your guide picks you up at 8:00 AM in Bled or 7:00 AM in Ljubljana in an air-conditioned van for an 8 to 10-hour journey through Triglav National Park, Slovenia’s only and one of Europe’s oldest national parks.
The first stop is Peričnik Waterfall, where you can walk behind the falling water in a quiet forest setting. Early arrival ensures fewer crowds. Next, visit a viewpoint above Gozd Martuljek to see the Špik mountain range’s alpine panorama—ideal for photography.
Zelenci Springs is a protected nature reserve where the Sava Dolinka River originates from a turquoise pool surrounded by wetland forest. A short boardwalk leads you to the water’s edge. The tour then crosses briefly into Italy to Lake Predil, a serene glacier lake beneath steep mountains, offering calm and striking scenery.
You reach Bovec next, with approximately three hours of free time for lunch, exploring, or optional adrenaline activities such as white water rafting on the Soča River or ziplining above the valley. These activities cost extra and must be booked in advance.
After Bovec, you pass the Great Soča Gorge, where the emerald Soča River narrows between sheer rock walls. Your guide will indicate safe swimming spots depending on conditions. The tour continues with a scenic drive over Vršič Pass, the highest mountain road in Slovenia at 1,611 meters, providing expansive views of the Julian Alps.
The final stop is Lake Jasna outside Kranjska Gora, where you can swim, relax with coffee, or enjoy the mountain scenery before returning to Bled at around 7:00 PM or Ljubljana by 9:00 PM.
