The Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF) is a comprehensive and critical overview of Slovenian advertising throughout the past year, and provides a mirror for the advertising industry’s creativity. The festival is organized by the Slovenian Advertising Chamber, the umbrella national trade organization in the field of marketing communications. SOF Advertising Awards are an important aspect of the festival, though its general significance carries a much broader scope. The festival’s extensive overview and appraisal of current advertising practice allows it to spread awareness and raise the bar on the standards of advertising in Slovenia. With its rich congress programme, the SOF also represents an important forum and meeting point for new ideas, knowledge and professional education within the entire field of marketing communications. SOF is visited by an average of 850 / 900 participants of various profiles, among them agency representatives, media professionals and advertisers as-well as participants from supporting industries and students. The 25th Slovenian Advertising Festival will take place between Thursday, March 26th and Saturday, March 28th 2014 in the Congress Centre of Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož on the Slovenian Adriatic coastline. During its three days, the festival will feature numerous lectures, discussions and workshops. The SOF Jury will assess the entries to festival competition programme and announce its winners, the prime examples of Slovenian advertising. Awards will be awarded at the Awards & Closing Gala Ceremony on Saturday night.
